Beyond limits

Technology in its purest form

A strict aesthetic meets performance in the eponymous monobloc kitchen, offering a theatrical set design where technology is the protagonist.

Sliding top

The top slides effortlessy on the kitchen and turns into a snack bar

A single stand-alone monobloc that contains all the necessary elements. Even a pull-out mixer, which allows sliding on the work plan and total closure.

K2 – K3 – K4

Norbert Wangen’s kitchen cube design revolutionises the concept of the compact kitchen. A single stand-alone mono-block that contains all the necessary elements for both cooking and entertaining, it is a graceful and neat piece of contemporary furniture that unfolds to reveal a high spec state-of-the-art cooking system ideal for limited spaces. A design in three sizes, the k2, k3 and k4 kitchens bring dining, from creation to completion, back into one social space; an elegant and logical response to the demand for open plan environments serving as “living” spaces with many functions. All three kitchens conform to the same design parameters, with increases in size (from k2 to k4) and, therefore, the specification of the equipment that can be housed. When closed all the kitchens form a complete block, but when the stainless steel top is silent slid to one side (to create a stylish linear table that can be a bar, or a serving or dining space) it reveals sophisticated cooking and preparation surfaces and a washing area concealed below. The cube contains individually welded sinks with hand-made solid stainless steel fittings and hob. The rectangular structure encloses an oven (or ovens), refrigerator, dishwasher, cupboard and drawer space. The most compact k4, at only 159cm long and 70cm, still manages to house a two-position hob, a sink in solid stainless steel, and space for a refrigerator, dishwasher and under-sink storage drawer in addition to the extended stainless steel table space.
