Eclipse

Complete range of bathroom taps in AISI 304 stainless steel featuring two cylindrical overlapped discs, which coincide perfectly when the tap is closed, while, when it is open, the water flow is regulated by the translation and rotation of the upper disc that operates the cartridge. The combination of this movement and the rotation of the disc on its axis allows also to adjust water temperature. The base is available in satin stainless steel or PVD grey (Physical Vapour Deposition technology); the rotating top disc is always in polished steel. The two misaligned elements that rotate one on top of the other evoke the movement of the celestial bodies during the eclipse phenomenon and inspire the name of this collection. Eclipse taps were awarded the Compasso d'Oro ADI in 2018. The cylindrical mixer can be integrated and placed on the spout itself or separated from it, divided into two single taps (for hot and cold water). Design Studiocharlie.

Studiocharlie was founded in 2002 by Gabriele Rigamonti, Carla Scorda and Vittorio Turla. They received the Honourable Mention in 2004 for the XX Compasso d’Oro ADI with Csuni typeface project. They design for: Atipico, Billiani 1911, Boffi, Bonacina 1889, De Padova, Designercarpets, Lanificio Leo, Lema, Made a Mano, Mipa, Nemo, Salvatori. They also work in editorial and cultural projects related to the theme of design. In 2018, Studiocharlie wins the Compasso d’Oro ADI prize with the family of taps Eclipse for Boffi.
