The quality of the essential

Wall hung, modular system of base and tall units characterised by clear and simple lines, made up of units of various dimensions, available in many different materials. All these elements can be mixed freely to create a lot of compositions, giving always an elegant and minimal feel. The cabinets do not have handles; the hinged doors and drawers are equipped with an automatic tip-on push-opening mechanism.

The base units, available in two heights and five different widths, can be fitted with heavy-duty drawer with an internal drawer, two drawers, hinged doors with internal shelves. The tall units, available in two depths and three widths, have hinged doors and can be equipped with internal drawers. The square-edged tops (12 - 15 - 20 - 23 mm thick) can be fitted with top-mounted, built-in, under-mounted or moulded flush-mounted washbasins. The finishes for the doors include all lacquers, aluminium, white Corian® and woods, including the Shades solid wood, whose surface consists of drawn close vertical furrows. The tops are available in glass, Cristalplant®, lacquers, Corian®, stone, marble, granite, Dekton®, MDI and solid wood. Design Piero Lissoni and C.R.S. Boffi

Design simplicity is guaranteed by the lack of handles and shapes on doors and drawers, that can be opened with a Tip-On push opening mechanism.

The units feature various dimensions in many different materials that can be mixed freely to create many compositions.

Water-based textured matt lacquer. The following features make SILCOLAK a top-quality finish: • Water-based textured paint, bi-component and undiluted (not contaminated by external agents), designed and produced exclusively for Boffi. • Colour range, exclusive for Boffi. • Excellent chemical and physical resistance (tested in laboratories). • Very low yellowing effect over time. • Coat of isolating paint Primer and double layers of polyester plastering, ideal for reducing small imperfections on surfaces and allowing a better coverage. • Base coat of polyester. • Coat of isolating paint Primer for corners and edges. • Two paint coats, cross-applied.

The polyester lacquering is carried out by a process of applying paints on MDF panels, with several coats. The surfaces are sanded with different coarse-grained and fine-grained sandpapers. Then they are polished using brushes impregnated with abrasive wax. The result obtained is a very glossy surface (close to the mirror effect) that reaches 95 gloss. Polyester is a very resistant material, practically waterproof; its surface does not absorb, but is sensitive to scratches. The scratched surface can be re-smoothed and re- polished or even repaired adding material and then by sanding and smoothing it again. Three layers of paint coat each surface, it means 900 g/m2 (ca. 1 mm thick); nine layers of paint coat each edge (ca. 3 mm thick). It is sensitive to light if directly exposed for very long periods. It can slightly change the tone, becoming lighter especially on light tones (family of whites). In case of element additions in a second moment, these tone changes cannot be perfectly replicated and may not match exactly the original shade. This issue cannot be considered cause for a complaint.

Metal-effect lacquer. Metals is a special finishing which reproduces the typical effect of brushed metallic surfaces, rendered through a very precise and technical sequence of production cycles. The characteristic metallic effect of the surface is given by the alternation of manual and mechanical processes, by the quality of the metal particles-enriched solvent-based paints and by the complex drying procedure. The various shades of colour (halos caused by the spread of the paint chromium particles) and the succession of multi-directional brushing of the surface make each piece a unique and exclusive one.

Exclusive-appearance metal sheet obtained with special chemical and / or mechanical treatments. For generations the “mission” of De Castelli has been to enhance the natural metals such as iron, steel, brass and copper, making them unique thanks to dedicated and sophisticated mechanical or chemical treatments. The chromatic and aesthetic effects created are peculiar and highly distinctive. The metals of De Castelli are protected only by transparent paints, in full respect of the core of the metal used.

Natural material extracted from quarry. Matt finish. The natural stones used by Boffi for the production of tops, panels, back panels, sinks, washbasins or bathtubs are always given a dedicated stain and oil-repellent and waterproof treatment to guarantee a high protection.
